The best days EVER

It's a long one... but i need to let you all know...............................................................................................

The past couple of days have been absolutely fantastic!!! Yesterday just couldn't have been better... It was my birthday (if I haven't mentioned that already)one that I wasn't very excited for, I think once you start heading towards your senior years the fun element of things wear off. Well, so I thought. I was woken up by my lovely children, lit up balloons and some super presents... I did some well needed computer chores and advertised the up and coming events at HRH which I am sooo excited for....

I then head off to the yard to have a play day with Hana, not for a minute thinking the day would bring the wonderful surprises it did. It started with us debating who we would take out with HRH Kenneth for his first ride out with a companion... We decide on HRH Chuki, not sure why as he has a tendency to be a little riggy.. The decision was made and we get them both tacked up.. as much a this seems a simple task,Hana and I are both a little anxious.. I'm having hot and cold sweats, keep needing a widdle but come on, get yourselves together and hop on..... we're ready to go.... I'm taking Golden Balls aka Kenneth and Hana has got the special one HRH Chuki. We mount and I'm sat on a very well mannered Kenneth waiting for Hana. Already, I'm smiling! Hana is on and we're off... We're heading down the driveways past the new calves in the filed next door and the two random sheep... Amazingly neither horse bothered at all, we've even taken on the gate and we're through and heading on out. At the bottom of the driveway is where Kenneth tends to have a little ca;; for the mares in the opposite field.. nothing....Oh my god, I am grinning like a Cheshire cat .... We get a to the bottom of the road and we come across a horse and rider coming towards us. We've never come across this before, so I'm not sure what's going to happen... Again...NOTHING!!! Hana is looking a little worried and asks if we;re doing a nice short ride? I'm like.. yes hunni, we'll do the Shipley route... Hana has a very nervous laugh which sets us both into a little hysteria.... which becomes even more so when we here the bloomin bin lorry behind us... REALLY??!! Come on...... give us a break.. we now have to break into a little trot and I cannot stop laughing... Hana is being pushed so far out of the saddle with Chuki's massive elevated trot.. Then she announces that the last time she rode him is when he was a little challenging for her in a lesson about 2yrs ago.....We dive into a bridle path let the bin lorry pass which I have to say, neither horse had an issue with it.. Phew... and relax. We carry on our ride and FOR FLIPS SAKE!!!! How many cyclists can be heading towards us? Let me tell you.... approximately 10. There is nowhere to go, so leg on, relax and ppppfffff... They've passed us and again neither Chuki or Kenneth battered an eyelid. This is all going smoothingly, we are just waiting for something to happen! We needn't have worried, we took on the whole ride and both horses behaved impeccably. So the horse whom I was asked if I had mortality insurance for is now feeling on top of the world and under taking a fitness regime so that we can get him to the best fitness he can be so that he can enjoy many more happy years.... And the outrageous stallion that was apparently the biggest mistake that I could ever have made and would never be able to do anything with him and it would be a disaster and upset sooo many people was an absolute diamond and I couldn't be more proud of him for being the gentleman that he is.......

The day didn't end there.......We had 'Big D' HRH Derrick to contend with.. he was to be ridden for the first time since he had been given the go ahead and over a year since he'd been ridden (not including the test rides between). It's a quick tack up and jump straight on(literally jump.. as I think he's grown even more!!! He stands whilst waiting for Hana to escort down the driveway to the gate and off we go.... It's like I've never been off and I'd forgotten how absolutely AMAZING he is to sit on... He's like the Ferrari of horses. We get to the triangle and back and I take him into the school for a little trot around to just put my mind at rest to see if he;s sound.... WOW, WOW & WOW!!!! He sure is and he is feeling phenomenal!!!!! A little unsteady in the contact but AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I then get home to be treated to a surprise party at the local pub with wonderful friends...

Life is perfect!!!!!!!! ..... Then today, HRH Chuki has been pampered and has proved how amazingly well he is feeling (I can't stop smiling)!!!!!
